Week 10 (November 2nd to November 6th) Friday, October 30th Greetings, everyone! What a fun week we had with all of our Halloween activities! Everyone looked amazing in their costumes, and we had such a great time celebrating together! We wrapped up our first reader, Sam and the Cat , and continued working in our phonics books. This week, we focused on the short vowel “i” and practiced the sounds “ig,” “ill,” and “id.” Next week, we will review the short vowel “i” before starting our new reader, Ted's Egg . With all the short weeks, Halloween activities, and typhoon days, we have a little catching up to do, but we've got this! We will keep working hard and making progress together. Week 9 (October 27th to October 30th) Friday October 23rd Greetings, everyone! Another week is in the books! This week, we began learning the short vowel “i” sound and enjoyed some fun Halloween songs and rhymes. Next week, we'll need to work extra hard to get through “ill” and “id” word families and review our phonics reader, Sam and the Cat .
