K2 Phonics

  Week 4 (September 21st to 24th) Friday September 18th Greetings, Kindergarten Families! We had another fun week in phonics class! The students worked hard on our word families “-ad” and “-at” and enjoyed reading our phonics reader, Sam and the Cat . Next week, we will review the word families “-am,” “-ad,” and “-at” and continue reading more of Sam and the Cat .   Week 3 (September 14th-18th) Friday September 11th Week 2 is in the books! 📚 We are starting to get more and more into our classroom routine. The first week and a half was a little slow as we all got used to our new routines and expectations, but things are getting better each day! We are becoming more efficient with our time together in class and settling into our daily rhythm. Next week, we will continue reading our “Sam and the Cat” reader and work on pages 10–13 in our Phonics Kids 3 book. We will be focusing on the “ad” and “at” word families.   Week 2 (9/7-9/11) Friday September 4th 🌟 Our First Week! 🌟 We have finished our first week of kindergarten , and our book have finally arrived! 📚 We are very excited to get started. Next week, we will work extra hard to catch up . We will begin our first phonics reader book , and we will start learning about the short vowel “a” in our Phonics Kids 3 book. 🔤📖 The students have done a wonderful job this week, and I'm looking forward to seeing all the learning and progress we will make next week!   Week 1 (8/31-9/4) Monday August 31st Welcome to our English class! I am very excited to meet all of our students and begin a wonderful year together. Since this is our first week, we will be spending lots of time getting to know each other, learning about our classroom, and getting comfortable with our daily routines. Our English books have not arrived yet, so we will not begin our regular textbook lessons this week. Instead, we will use this time for fun activities, games, songs, stories, and simple English practice. These activities will help the students become familiar with our classroom routines while giving me a chance to learn more about each of them. We will practice important classroom language such as greetings, asking for help, following simple instructions, and using English with our classmates.
